| 87633 | 2002-10-10 08:08:00 | Hi R.M., Is this why I'm having problems with my pc since downloading the update - on Windows 2000 pro? Oh bother! Since doing so, the startup is taking for ages.... What do you suppose I should do? Check the size of the file you downloaded in your Grisoft directory,if it is only 2245Kb's it may well be corrupted. Delete it and check the size of latest that is 2376.2! A lot of downloads early on from the site.cz by our American friends were corrupt?(A lot of bleating on another forum!) Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |

| 87634 | 2002-10-10 08:54:00 | Thanks Kiwitas - it took me a while to find the file (getting tired now), but eventually found one that matched the time, with a size of 2323KB, so deleted that! The dear old PC is still quite slow at booting up, but haven't got an objective measure, so can't be absolutely sure. It seems to me that it hangs before loading the desktop icons for a while. Everything does load eventually.... And now I must have my beauty sleep! Thanks for you help, but I don't think I'm out of the mire yet ?:|, :-( | R.M. (561) | ||
| 87635 | 2002-10-11 04:25:00 | Yes, home again after work, and the dear old pc is taking for ages to boot up, in particular when loading the desktop icons. I run Windows 2000 pro as my operating system - anyone have any further suggestions of what I can do to sort this lot out? :-) Last night I deleted what I thought would the appropriate upgrade, but no real improvement. :-( | R.M.
