| 88186 | 2002-10-12 05:18:00 | Hi Graham Actually you surprise me with your comment. :O I guess it is a matter of personal choice, but I have every program and piece of information that I need available at one click of my mouse. IMHO hiding them away on nested menus would delay my access. How do I get any work done? Well, once the programs I want are opened, I don't see the desktop anyway unless I need something else for a few minutes. There are about 5 items I could cull as they are duplicated on the task bar or not used regularly but why bother ?:| It works well for me. Oh yes, and I like green, it is very soothing on the eye. B-) Cheers Billy 8-{) :D :D |

| 88191 | 2002-10-12 06:28:00 | Craig, I don't make my own (although it is possible with freeware - have a look on google). There was a recent thread on this topic where I gave details of all of the software I use, and how to skin XP. I will have a look for it and post back. There is heaps of stuff out there. G P |

| 88192 | 2002-10-12 06:36:00 | OK the thread is here (pressf1.co.nz) The links I posted on there are mostly deaed now, so: Change boot logo (www.littlewhitedog.com) Deskmod (http://deskmod.com/) ThemeXP.org (http://www.themexp.org/) TGTSoft (http://www.tgtsoft.com/) ThemeXP.com (http://www.xpthemes.com/) ThemeXP.info (http://www.xptheme.info/) And there are somany others. For easy patching I recommend StyleXP for a small fee, or use uxthemepatcher for free. Logoloader for logons. reshacker for bootscreens. G P |

| 88193 | 2002-10-12 08:51:00 | This is interesting, lets see what the most popular components are on peoples desktops. I see most people have, Acrobat, Ad-aware, AVG and of course just about everyone has a 'start' button. hmmm what does that say about us? We all need to 'start' cutting out the 'spyware' by becoming an 'antiviral' 'acrobat'? the answer is 42 |
