| 87863 | 2002-10-10 20:47:00 | hi im running windows xp proffesional edition the mouse used to work fine when in the round connect hole but now there doesnt seem to be any power there as it doesnt light up or run there so im running it out of a usb port however when i start computer it says i have to press f 1 as there is no ps/2 mouse present ive re downloaded the drivers (its a microsoft optical wheel mouse)but the problem still persists its on a new system 3 weeks old and it occasionaly crashes while im on line often after ive moved the mouse the motherboard is a viap4pb 400 fl running 512 meg of 333 ram if icant sort it soon il take it back to shop but i would like to try and sort it myself any help much appreciated peter |

| 87866 | 2002-10-10 21:26:00 | Pete, Take it back to the shop - if it's only 3 weeks old, it should be under warranty, and they should fix it for you. It's not a free service - you would have paid for it when you purchased the PC, so make use of it! Mike. |
