88593 2002-10-13 04:13:00 From the look of the picture in the ad it is a close relative of the Lenoxx from Farmers. I bought the Lenoxx and it is great, pix quality is excellent, it has all the essential output options, plays everything mainstream and a few others besides. And you can change zones with the remote.

They are disposable items these days as repairs are probably uneconomic if anything big goes wrong (laser etc), so provided the supplier is well known, you have a good warranty and it will extend past the quoted 12 months if anything serious happens as you are entitled to expect reasonable life.

Unless you are a perfection freak, take the cheap option and if it won't play DVDs take it back and get a refund. Just see if they can demonstrate it in-store or at least let you read the specification and instructions.

Cheers

88594 2002-10-13 04:24:00 I agree with Billy.

Half the time, those cheap DVD players are quite adequate for everyday use, and will probably give you many hours of enjoyment.

What you save on the player, will give you some spare cash to buy a few good movies!
