88489 2002-10-12 04:58:00 Basically they are a waste of time, and an excuse for sneaking adware into your PC. godfather (25)

88491 2002-10-12 05:32:00 what os??

easy mtu and TCPoptimizer work ok (no spyware). all they do is adjust mtu /rwin and a few other settings. can help but it depends on the situation.

88493 2002-10-12 06:14:00 not using any at the moment .. deciding between flashget and gozilla.. using XP mashimaro (2168)
88494 2002-10-12 08:46:00 FlashGet is A LOT better than gozilla -=JM=- (16)
88495 2002-10-12 08:50:00 gozilla is spyware. flashget has removed the spyware and does the adverts internally. tweak'e (174)
88496 2002-10-12 19:37:00 Hello,

I've there is very little difference in speed between a program, and windows normal download system, especially on dail up. However,
one advantage of using one is that it will resume downloads, if the
link is broken.

Cheers,
Bob

88497 2002-10-12 21:09:00 unless the uploading server is uploading it slower than your connection speed and you can find mirrors of that file. tweak'e (174)
