| 88875 | 2002-10-13 21:35:00 | I am running W98 and Linux Red Hat on a separate HD on its own.I tried to load Knoppix from the PC disk while in W98 and it went haywire after detecting hardware with a wide snowy coulered band across the middle of my screen. After quitting W98 still works but my Gnome screen has the RH.com and another RH icon but no panel. As i am pretty new to Linux I am at a loss on how to retrieve a panel.Preferably the one i had. I think your best bet will be to reinstall RH. Tell it you want to "update" when it asks (even though this is an update to the same version) , and it should keep most of the settings you have. It's good that the GNU/Linux is on its own HD ... that makes life safer ... |
