88865 2002-10-13 20:50:00 Each time I try to connect to the internet, I get a msg that reads -
RUNDLL32 - an error has occurred. You can click IGNORE and try to continue, or you can click CLOSE. You will lose and work since your last save.
Not word for word, but this is the gist. I am running WIN95. I do not know how to 'fix' this, and I am not too computer literate.
If I continue to try to connect, often the PC will freeze and I have to reboot. Sometimes, like now, it connects on a second or third attempt after rebooting.

88866 2002-10-13 22:34:00 Hi

Can you give us the actual error message?

When it comes up again, click the Details button and note down the first couple of lines.
It's usually in the form of:
(Program) caused an invalid page fault in module (Program) or
(Program) caused a general protection fault in module (Program)

88867 2002-10-14 01:36:00 Thank you: Yes the msg reads:-
RUNDLL32 - An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway, click 'IGNORE' and save your work in a new file. To quit this program, click 'CLOSE'. you will lose information entered since your last save.
When I click 'IGNORE' nothing happens. When I click 'CLOSE', it closes and I then get another msg - RUNDLL32 caused an invalid page fault in
module TAPI.DLL at 0014:00007638.

Then it closes and the PC freezes - I then reboot. :-(

88868 2002-10-14 01:46:00 Macavity,

This is a known problem... see the Microsoft Article RUNDLL32_TAPI (support.microsoft.com) for some help. Also the following may be of interest Rundll32_DUN (support.microsoft.com)

88869 2002-10-14 05:28:00 thank you: A friend has suggested that I should mention that I have INCREDIMAIL. Could this be causing these problems? Also is it safe to un-install Incredimail? If so how do I transfer all saved mail to OE?
Many thanks for the help.:-)

88870 2002-10-14 05:35:00 Macavity,

Enure you follow the MS directions first. Don't worry about the mail s/w (Incredimail) just yet as you need to fix the current problems. I peronally know nothing about Incredimail (have a feeling I'm about to) so can't comment at this stage.

Cheers, Babe.

88871 2002-10-14 06:38:00 Unfortunately I know of no way to export your messages from Incredidimail to Outlook or Outlook Express.

You can export your contacts though.

This is why I stopped using Incredimail some time ago!!!

88872 2002-10-15 06:42:00 thank you for your comments: When you 'got rid' of Incredimail, did you un-install, and did you have any problems if you did? macavity (2233)
