89088 2002-10-14 05:12:00 I've got Win2K Pro installed on a 4 Gig HDD, and I want to install Psyche on the same drive. There's 2 Gigs unpartitioned. How should I install the LiLo, which will prolly be GRUB. Do I tell it to install in the MBR, or what?

Going home in 15 Mins to try it out

Cheers

89089 2002-10-14 05:23:00 BTW, Grub's the best bet aye, or can it use the doze BL? Chilling_Silence (9)
89090 2002-10-14 05:30:00 I've found lilo OK ... I have heard that grub does not have the "-u" option to restore the MBR to what it was if you have problems. That may have been changed.

Have a look in the HOWTOs for the W2k/Linux dualboot ... I think you can use the MBR, or use the more complicated method of modifying the boot.ini file. We've had this here ... "dual booting linux and Windows 2000" will find the thread ...
