89677 2002-10-15 23:21:00 I just ran one of those system checking programs which told me all about my machine. Most of it was correct, but one thing stuck out:

My 5400rpm secondary drive was listed as being 4500rpm. Is this the program giving the wrong info, or was I ripped off when I bought the drive?

Mike.

PS the program was that AIDA program everyone was talking about a few days ago.

89678 2002-10-15 23:44:00 It's a Quantum Fireball LCT20 20gb (supposedly 5400rpm :))

89679 2002-10-16 00:04:00 Have you tried some other programs.

I haven't heard of a 4500rpm drive before.

89680 2002-10-16 00:10:00 HMPH I just went to the Maxtor site, and they list the LCT20 as being a 4500rpm drive. Maybe I should go back to the place I bought it and ask them to upgrade it for me for free :)

89681 2002-10-16 05:03:00 mmmm interesting. if you paid for it you should have got it.

4500rpm drives are normally quite old (depending on what u call old ;-) ).
