| 89868 | 2002-10-16 21:06:00 | For some reason I am unable to run NAV recently. I have it set to run weekly on a Friday evening and have just picked up that it has not run for nearly 6 weeks so decided to do it manually. After clicking all the appropriate buttons I got the following message Unable to find valid virus definition files. Please reinstall Norton Antivirus. Affected functionality such as virus scanning is disabled until the problem is corrected and NAV is restarted Whilst aware that many on this forum are not too fussed with Nortons, I have been running it for some years and have had no problem with it. I recently updated after my subscription had run out and noticed that it now expires in 366 days (it was updated some months ago surely it should be less than that?) I run Windows ME, with MS Office XP Professional, Norton System Works 2001 (Updated) 752 mhz AMD processor 128MB ram 18gb HDD |

Also, goto: http://www.housecall.antivirus.com Check for viruses, online and free with no spyware - you know the drill, just in case one has corrupt a file of nortons' which might cause that error. Hope this helps Cheers Chilling_Silence |
