But there looks to be another solution as well.

Do exactly the opposite what is logical - Do that most days, so nothing new there LOL :D

1316593 2012-12-05 09:42:00 I fixed six computers, five Win 7 and one Vista just a couple of weeks ago by changing to Google dns settings on IPv4, temporarily. That really worked, after I had tried all other "fixes" from MS that did not work. I just checked them all again today and they are all good as gold.

1316594 2012-12-05 22:45:00 @LL. Yes, I have been through the MS long list, too! Really annoyed with myself as I should have been onto the DNS switcheroo. Actually, one of my fixes responded to Method 8, so there are variations out there. The giveaway for the DNS thingy is error 8024402F, though.
