2012-08-10 00:16:00 | Hi Team I need to refresh my stocks of pop rivets, and I don't need many, just a few common sizes in plain vanilla aluminium . Problem is, I have spent the last half-hour on-line trying to find a local source, but so far the sole website to give any glimmering hope was Mitre 10 Mega . I bought a riveter several years ago and it came with a good range of sizes but not very many rivets so I am nearly out and have a job to do this weekend . I thought that finding rivets would be pretty easy, but not so it seems! Jaycar have an excellent range of tools and fasteners for the handyman, so I thought that they would be a runner but nope, nothing doing there . Placemakers was my next choice as they do a lot of trade sales, but their website has no search facility, and they don't provide any sort of online catalogue . Bunnings is somewhere in the middle, but don't seem to do pop rivets . I also looked for Trade Outlets, but that was little use as well . Google was not my friend today, so I'm off to Mitre-10 to see what they can do, though I fear they may be bundled with a riveter, which I don't need . If anybody knows a drive-in or even mail-order source for pop rivets in small quantities and a range of sizes then I'd be very pleased to hear about it . Cheers Billy 8-{)

2012-08-10 00:59:00 | Supercheap I would be very careful about buying some things from there. I am pretty sure I have bought them at Mitre10 before. Just the rivets. We have an outfits called Lynns Auto here that has a good range of stuff but I don't know if they operate elsewhere.

However, I did download from Black's a PDF file detailing a wide range of pop-rivet sizes and specifications, which will be very useful, so thanks for that. However, SuperCheap definitely seems to hit the mark so I'll give them a try. Thanks Plod. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

2012-08-10 01:04:00 | Heads up for Blacks fasteners, (Wratterus). They will sell any amount you want. | BobM (1138) | |
2012-08-10 01:54:00 | If you're trying to buy them online I dunno, but Bunnings, Mitre 10, and Placemakers, all of which you mentioned, all sell them in store. They just aren't the kind of stores that do online supply. | dugimodo (138) | |
2012-08-10 02:43:00 | Yep Ulrich, Blacks, Hylton Parker any engineers supplier and they do the quantities you require. I have more than once bought a single bolt or screw at Blacks for a particular project | gary67 (56) | |
