1293218 2012-08-06 22:55:00 I use a Draytek DV120 in PPPoA -> PPPoE Passthrough to my TP-Link TL-WR1043ND running Gargoyle

Hmm.. an ADSL to Ethernet converter - I didn't know such things existed. I already have gargoyles on my Creed. If I got one of those converters.... Are you thinking what I'm thinking? What kind of a screwdriver would I need?

Yes . . . . :D

Just a wee survey partly for my own interest, partly for a the development of a potential commercial product .

It's interesting to see who's with which ISP and whether they are using the modem supplied by the ISP (unsurprising to find that most people here - and GZ - do NOT use the ISP-supplied modem, unless they are on cable . Geeks will be geeks, I suppose! :D)

The reason I am interested in the model make/model/age is because in many cases only the newer ones will be fully TR-069 compliant, which is pertinent to the product . . .

And if I can discover which ISPs hand out which modems to new sign-ups, it means I have to make fewer phone calls :)

I used to buy my own.
When I was with Vodafone I had 4 die due to their equipment/conditions.
So, when I came here and switched, I gave up and used theirs, got sick of buying new modems all the time, and as it works, and hasn't caused any issues (so far), I guess I'll leave it until such time it does.
