Our info is most private when stored on a local drive, not some cloud that is exposed to the whole world.

Passwords however are a curse.

At work the entire crew has password changes enforced every month. There's no user name tied to them, just the password (ie the password IDs the user and gives access as well), and with the regular changes and various rules in place we fluked having two of us use the same strategy (keyboard pattern) to assign our passwords, which in turn led to our jobs appearing under a single identity.
Nothing tragic, just some distorted stats for the productivity of the two of us.

However, this example also shows the danger of making passwords too tough - either too long and obscure, or changing them so frequently that people are forced to use strategies to remember them... which in turn makes them more easily broken.

1293181 2012-08-06 22:34:00 I use an eyeball scanner to access all my stuff
A few years ago I used to have a fingerprint scanner that I bought from Dick Smith. The software that came with it buggered up my computer. The Tech advised me not to use it.

This eyeball scanner sounds interesting.

Yep, much like the thumb-print scanner, just press your eye against the plate and hold still for 5 seconds. ;)
