| 1316902 | 2012-12-07 01:32:00 | I'm unable to find the Rooting Package file (the link in the post Nick G shared is now dead) and I've looked at uploading.com (which is what a Google search comes up with) cannot download it from there for some reason.... Any ideas where else I could find it? |

Any ideas where else I could find it? I found it in another place - I noticed it said it was just a SuperBoot file so I found that and have replaced the original boot.img file (I kept the original on my PC for backup), and at first I got the blue screen (after loading "Ideos") - but then I tried renaming boot.img to just boot (as I noticed recovery was written as that), and now I can start into Android normally. Phew! So does that mean my phone rooted? I can see (when holding PWR and Volume Up) a menu of some sort... |

| 1316904 | 2012-12-07 02:39:00 | I installed ClockwordMod recovery 5.5.0.2 - however when trying to open that via PWR and Vol-up botton I just get a blue screen... What have I done wrong here? | caffy (2665) | ||
| 1316905 | 2012-12-07 02:50:00 | When you're in that screen, I believe you now need to push the Pwr + Vol-Up again to get the text to then show. I had to on my Nexus 7 and on my wifes Galaxy Nexus. | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||

Any ideas where else I could find it? Oops, didn't check all the links from that link. forum.xda-developers.com might give you some more info. Note that is is only a basic guide for rooting, not for installing roms. |

That didn't work unfortunately. I just seen there is a newer clockworkmod version avail for the x5, going to give that a try. |
