1316776 2012-12-06 04:21:00 Can you see the difference between 2ms and 5ms response times? DeSade (984)
1316777 2012-12-06 05:30:00 In some games, yes. Otherwise for desktop use, not really... Chilling_Silence (9)
1316778 2012-12-06 05:57:00 My question would be can you tell the difference using the systems separately or only *really* when they are together. It's like CYMK colour and RGB colour, can't really tell them apart if you were given an image and asked is this CYMK but together you can.

If you sat down in front of a 5ms response monitor would you be able to tell?

Sorry to hijack the OP somewhat, I was just curious (and I'm sure DeSade would be too)

1316779 2012-12-06 08:07:00 No hijack, its a valid extension of my question.

Basically I want to know if I was to replace my 2ms monitors with 5ms monitors would I notice?

1316780 2012-12-06 11:06:00 Not for anything but gaming, no, I don't believe most people would. Even then, only if I sat them down side-by-side. Chilling_Silence (9)
1316781 2012-12-06 18:24:00 Only in very specific situations, and only if you're especially sensitive to light transitions. inphinity (7274)
1316782 2012-12-06 22:07:00 Reason I am thinking along these lines is although the 2ms ones are great, I was contemplating buying 3 new boarderless monitors for a surround setup DeSade (984)
