90298 2002-10-17 21:22:00 Hiya,

I've got just the basic sis6326 video card with a 17" Colour Viewsonic monitor, which I have both have had over 3years.

Thing I would like to know, is resulting in "image quality." Who or what devices gives the best quality? Does all quality come down to the video card or your monitor.

Im kinda thinking about upgrading, but don't know which component of the two I should consider.

Can someone please explain and which one you would recommend without myself having to spend lots without costing an arm or a leg? If so, what would be worth that price?

Thanks
Sandy beach

90299 2002-10-17 21:32:00 Since you've a Viewsonic Monitor .. even tho they're 3 years old.. but they do make excellent monitors .. so I'd say the display card.

Not sure on what kinda budget .. but if u don't play games much .. mainly doing text and pictures .. then Matrox G550 should serve you well.]
