90158 2002-10-17 08:38:00 My "Microsoft Outlook 2000" has amassed a large, archived "pst" file.
When I try to open the archived folder I get a pop-up window headed "Program not found", windows cannot find archived pst, this program is needed for the opening of files of type "Office Data file".

Can anyone help me open them?

90159 2002-10-17 08:46:00 How are you trying to open it?

You do it from Outlook, using File - Import and Export - Import from another file or program.

It wont work by clicking the file in Explorer.

From Outlook you can go File | Open | Personal Folders File (.pst)... then select the appropriate archived pst file from the 'explorer' window.

Also look at the Microsoft article Outlook Data Files Appear As Office Data Files in Windows Explorer (support.microsoft.com) and Outlook_2 (support.microsoft.com)

Cheers, Babe.
