90313 2002-10-18 06:27:00 was bored; so I added a php chartroom to my http://desktop.farr.net.nz site, take a look!

I'm still waiting for domainz to do their zone file build for today, its supposed to be done at 7PM but is usually sever hours late (if it happens at all!), so hopefully soon you will be able to go directly to http://www.desktop.net.nz !

90314 2002-10-18 07:18:00 Hey liam I have a music one very similar to the System Of A Down one On the way I am just doing some finishing touches I should have it done by Sunday.

The inspiration behind it.... Metallica..... the song 'One' off the And Justice For All... Album to be correct.

90316 2002-10-18 09:53:00 wow, cool laim, i cant wait till i have enough cash to get a domain of my own :D

i was looking at your main site, and saw the website design costs you charge...:O, can you really get that sort of money making websites like yours! (sorry to sound discouraging), but if you can, i think i have a real chance, aye (i done this one (http://artfx.tk/) for free!):D

90317 2002-10-18 10:47:00 Sal, while those web-design costs may seem high.

That is for a site with a complete e-commerce system where the customer places items in the cart, then goes to the check-out where their credit card ##'s are transferred over SSL, from there the my encryption script re encrypts the order (and credit card ##'s) with a public key and emails the order off to the supplier where they decrypt the order with their public key and process the order.

Furthermore I usually end up going and taking product photos editing them and writing all the info for the website (which is very time consuming).

So really it’s not that expensive when you consider what you get in return.

Of course those are only estimates, if the customer was to do most of the work and I just did the coding (i.e. they provided me with all the materials; product descriptions, full size and thumbnail photos etc) the cost would be considerably less.

Hope this is a reasonable explanation of where all that money goes.

90318 2002-10-18 11:04:00 Just noticed a typo, the order is encrypted with a public key and decrypted with a private key.

Keep the wallpapers coming!

90319 2002-10-18 11:11:00 speaking of SSL (i mean ssh, are they the same?), know any good tutorials?, i think its a very good thing to have a grasp on when masquerading as a web developer / designer (;), yup, both!)
i have got this free webspace of which i want to take full advantage of, and i think i am pretty lucky cos i get it all for free (and i mean THE WORKS!)
