| 90851 | 2002-10-19 19:48:00 | How much video/playing time could I expect to place on a 700Mb CDrom and in what format? I know of MOV, WMP? formats, are there others? Have any of you been down this road? I read the March 02 PC World Mag article on Video recording, but couldnt find this info. Thanks....John. |

| 90852 | 2002-10-19 20:38:00 | First place to start is the quality of the image you are recording So a good picture in WMP is about 500kbits a second. 8 bits in a byte. = 62.5KB a second. 700000KB on a CD. 7000000 / 62.5 = 11200seconds / 60 = 186 odd minutes of video. Um i'm don't know much about video encoding so i don't know if with WMP that includes the audio, I'd imagine that is extra. However fellow writers to the thread will help you out there. |

| 90853 | 2002-10-19 21:24:00 | it depends greatly on the quality of the video and audio. i have a few full movies on cd. 2.5 hours of divx5 and ogg audio on a 700mb disk. idealy shoot your video and compress it down to fit onto a cd unless its really long or need very good quality then split it onto several disks. |
