| 90685 | 2002-10-19 00:15:00 | Ok I finally got my Poor Man's home theatre going. Got my el cheapo $300 Lennoxx DVD player (which works perfectly) hooked up through my video player (long story). Have just bought a 3.5mmm stereo adaptor socket-to-socket, and also purchased a lead which goes from RCA-3.5mm stereo plug. Down to business - I plus in the RCA leads to the output on my video player, plug that into the 3.5mm socket, then plug some $20 powered computer speakers into the other side of that adaptor. Now I have stereo sounds coming from the video and dvd player (my TV is only mono, which is really the problem). My question: Being a lazy sod, has anyone seen some reasonably-priced computer speakers that come with a remote? This would complete my system and since I have kids, there's not point buy a 5.1 system with 50 million watts etc - computer speakers do the job since it's just the stereo effect I'm after. Appreciate any help. Cheers and thanks |
