| 90620 | 2002-10-18 12:33:00 | Hi , I recently upgraded to the newer version of Zone Alarm for personal use. Now everytime I fire-up my PC it insists on dialing up to the internet and I tracked it down to Zone alarm. I've tried just about everything to prevent this, but am still at logger heads with it. Can someone please help me with this? Cheers. DC |

Perhaps if you query Zone Labs direct they will let you know if/when they will stop this "feature". |

Cure: Firstly open your firewall window from your taskbar, go to programs and right-click the zonealarm program entry in it and select allow (the two little green ticks). Then go to the main window and into preferences and at the bottom there will be a registration option, click on it and input whatever you want in it and close it again. exit the program and re-start your pc, this time it will regiater correctly with zonelabs and it won't try to register again inthe future. Lastly go back to the program window again and remove zonealarm from the accessibility pane....and voila' les jeux sont fait. Good luck. |
