90620 2002-10-18 12:33:00 Hi ,
I recently upgraded to the newer version of Zone Alarm for personal use. Now everytime I fire-up my PC it insists on dialing up to the internet and I tracked it down to Zone alarm. I've tried just about everything to prevent this, but am still at logger heads with it. Can someone please help me with this?
Cheers.

90621 2002-10-18 13:16:00 There have been numerous threads on this already, but what is occurring is that ZA is attempting to access a DNS server to find out the address of (from memory) lockup.zonelabs.com

Currently there doesn't appear to be any solution. Perhaps if you query Zone Labs direct they will let you know if/when they will stop this "feature".

Go to ControlPanel/Network Connections
From the menu at the top click on Advanced and select Dialup Preferences
Uncheck everything in "Enable Autodial from Location"

90623 2002-10-18 21:18:00 Hi, I had the same problem and it is one that occurs only until it successfully registers itself with zonelabs. Cure: Firstly open your firewall window from your taskbar, go to programs and right-click the zonealarm program entry in it and select allow (the two little green ticks).
Then go to the main window and into preferences and at the bottom there will be a registration option, click on it and input whatever you want in it and close it again. exit the program and re-start your pc, this time it will regiater correctly with zonelabs and it won't try to register again inthe future. Lastly go back to the program window again and remove zonealarm from the accessibility pane....and voila' les jeux sont fait.
Good luck.
