| 91152 | 2002-10-20 08:58:00 | I wondered if there were any minimum requirements for the installation of a DVD drive. I have at present MMX 200 with 128 mb Ram running win 98. It seems the best option for showing movies from the desktop into the TV, rather than add another piece of equipment under the TV set. Any comments please? | John Boy (1365) | ||
| 91153 | 2002-10-20 09:10:00 | your pc is a bit on the slow side. the cost of a dvd drive, hardware decoder card will be near price of a dvd player for the tv. unless you are going to get a faster pc i would get a dvd player for the tv. |

U'll probably need a video card that supports TV out, and at least 256mb ram for safety and a better processor as it might considerably slow down the playback of dvds on ur computer, altogether u'll probably spend at least $500 on the computer to playback dvds, for that money could could a buy a dvd player for $399, a player that is all region and plays CD-Rs and CD-RWs aswell. cheers, v.K------------------- :D |
