| 91134 | 2002-10-19 22:15:00 | I don't know where you could download it but it fits on 8 floppies and could be copied & mailed provided you have or had a legit copy on the computer you want to load onto. I assume you have just lost the disks or didn't get them with the computer when you bought it. See what F1 turns up for you by way of download sites and you can always do a Google search for Windows 3.11 (or Windows for Workgroups 3.11 which is the official name) + download. I'll put a watch on this post in case nothing else turns up for you and you can let me know if you want copies. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 91135 | 2002-10-19 23:05:00 | I think you will have very great difficulty finding a site that has "illegal abandonware" where you can get win3.11. There were a number until about 12 months ago, but Microsoft came the heavy hand and forced those sites to desist and /or close, with the threat of legal action if they didnt. It is just possible that there may be an obsure Russian site or some other country where they 'cock a snook' at MS, but they could take some finding. It is a bone of contention, because MS has abandoned 3.11, also dos6.22, you cant buy it from them, they dont support it, yet they persist in not freeing up copyright. This means older computers that wont run Win9x, but would be useable in other respects are being prevented from being re-cycled. |

Many old OSs are here, havent checked them, but this site is almost identicle to one that was closed. On that one the files were disk images that had been rar compressed.
