| 91310 | 2002-10-21 02:07:00 | hi, recently my modem has started disconnecting when i switch user (no logging off) in winxp pro. it never used to do this and is very frustrating. I have looked in all the obvious (to me) places for an option to switch this on or off but have had no luck. thanx |

| 91311 | 2002-10-21 02:14:00 | That looks like a security setting. On a true multi-user system, that action would be essential. :D Have you changed your network settings? | Graham L (2) | ||
| 91312 | 2002-10-21 03:40:00 | Are you switching users or logging out? I have this problem when logging out, but not when switching users. (I have fast switching enabled) | promethius (1998) | ||
| 91313 | 2002-10-21 06:11:00 | Matt, You need to modify (or add) the following registry value using the REGistry EDITor, use an Administrator account to do the following: Click START | RUN, and type Regedit and click OK Within the registry left pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Right-click within the right pane, point to New, and then click String Value Name the value KeepRasConnections Double-click KeepRasConnections and set the value data to 1 Now exit from the Registry Editor and restart your PC. Cheers, Babe. |
