| 91737 | 2002-10-22 08:11:00 | Hi, This is more annoying than anything else but I haven't been able to find a solution yet. I'm running Microsoft Project 98 -SR1 on Windows 2000. I have two printers at home, both connected to my server. One of my printers is a standard inkjet (my default printer) and one prints A3 paper. When ever I go to print a project from my workstation on the A3 printer, I go File-Print... I select my A3 printer from the list and I get a message from project98 telling me this operation is "usually" for changing the default properties for the printer, and I should change the paper size and etc through File-Page Setup. If I click either Ok or cancel, project changes my WINDOWS default printer to my A3 printer! This only happens the first time I try and printer after starting project. I would follow it's suggestion and go into page setup but that option is greyed out for this particular project. I've been putting up with this for months now. Part of my troubleshoot process involved setting up project 98 on another Win2k PC (with SP3) with fictional local printers I created. Same problem, so I'm thinking this is a Project 98 issue rather than something specific to my configuration. Has anyone got any ideas? P.S. Couldn't find anything in MS Technet or google about this either. Doing a search on the exact (or even the first 6 words) message I get when I change printers turns up absolutely nothing. |
