91923 2002-10-23 04:20:00 Somebody who's clever enough could do all the SP's on CD... Office SP's and stuff... I've got a burner and XPSP1 and Win2K SP3, the Office XP SP's
Not much else though...

91925 2002-10-23 04:40:00 I dont believe Microsoft have given permission for distribution via magazine CDs. Pity though, as its not illegal to distribute non commercially.

I have given away a few CDs of XPSP1 to colleagues with dial-up.

91926 2002-10-23 04:44:00 Thanks Babe Ruth. Thant's a great solution.

crozier@hotpop.com

But I still that it would do MS more good than bad to send these out for just a few $$ like the used to. With demos games and stuff perhaps - advertising......

91927 2002-10-23 05:01:00 Ok Crozier will organise that tonight with you.

Tweak'e I hace Office2000 service packs on HDD (and CD) If you like as mentioned in earlier post I can burn you a cd with XP SP1 and all the Office2000 SP's as well. Just a disposable addy and I'll contact you for a physical address to post you.

91930 2002-10-23 06:34:00 Mind you Tweak'e ... I decided to sign up for TechNet Std (about $700/year) which has to be a bargain for what you get.

91931 2002-10-23 06:43:00 But remember, there are extras included on the SP1 official CD that aren't available through the download. I can't remember what they are, but I have heard that they're there :)
