2002-10-22 23:25:00 | Yes, The Girl enjoyed the concert and said that she saw you there. ;-) The most exciting bit for her was chatting to the band and them signing posters for her, then getting her favourite to autograph her arm. I don't think she's washed her arm yet. :D

2002-10-23 01:11:00 | So every time I leave out my smileys and such, people think I'm having a bad day . :-( OK sal, you obviously don't know me very well so sorry if I sounded rude, I didn't mean to . We've discussed separating out the categories with Bruce and robo before now and they aren't keen on it . The categories are there "just in case" one day it might happen, like if the forum got so wildly popular like the US ones and they had to do it . Or to assist the search engine . Or something . Everyone I know likes the forum as it is, with all posts on the same page rather than separated off . It's easier to follow and less time consuming swapping around . I personally hate those forums with separate categories and, bar one, I rarely frequent them for long . Also, by having it all on one page we get exposed to lots of different topics and thus learn far more . How many non-technical people would bother looking in the Linux or Networking categories if they were separated off? I wouldn't but on here I read just about everything and came to realise that networking is something not just for businesses and I'm going to network my new PC, when I get it, with this one . As for Linux, maybe one day I might try that . I would never be thinking like that if those subjects were in separate parts of the forum . That's the beauty of this place . So there you have it . Regardless of our own personal preferences, Bruce has said a few times that there is no plan to do it in the foreseeable future and I am glad of that . You, of course, don't have to agree with me - just don't tell Bruce . :D Don't always take me too seriously sal - you'll know when I'm really growling (or hissing) . ;-)

2002-10-23 01:35:00 | nooo, i dont mean like seperate the categories into their own forums, i mean like next to each thread on the main index page, keep it how it is, but add an extra column, which would have an indication of what category its in, but dont worry... grtz sal. tga *smilies really help ;)

2002-10-23 01:39:00 | Guys, guys. We aren't doing any enhancements to Pressf1 at present. The team is all busy working on other projects, of which we have a long list. | Biggles (121) | |
2002-10-23 01:54:00 | Quite right. It's puffick as it is. Haven't you all heard of "added functionality"? That is the excuse for bloated crash-prone software. We've been through this before ... We're supposed to help people stop infinite loops. :D
