91902 2002-10-23 00:07:00 Hello all,
Have problem trying to open a file that I spent considerable time creating using Publisher 98.
When I try to open I get error message stating that I have performed illegal operation. Can anyone decipher what this means.

SPUB caused an invalid page fault in
module QS98.DLL at 0187:4040b61f.

I have not had problems before opening it but this has only occurred this week. I can open other documents using Publisher perfectly.

91903 2002-10-23 00:17:00 I think you mean MSPUB, not SPUB?

The following may help:
Publisher will not open one particular publication .

There is a possibility that your file has gone corrupt . It's a good idea to make sure you have backups, and as well, resave your publication under a new file name once in awhile, if you frequently access this file .

In the mean time, go to start>find>files and folders> and search for your temp files . Publisher should have created one for you, under your original file name (filename . tmp) and rename the file to filename . pub, and attempt to open in publisher .

• Why am I getting a low memory error?

Outlook98 replaces this file with a newer version that kills Publisher98 . Both will work with the older file .

Go to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Quill delete qs98 . dll copy the qs98 . dll from your Publisher 98 CD to the same folder .

The latter part may or may not apply . Basically I would guess your application file (the one you are trying to open) is corrupt . You need to use your backup one (whats that? you don't have a backup?)

Sounds like its not an uncommon problem, assume that renaming forces a full rewrite and file format correction .

91904 2002-10-23 00:26:00 Try Locate the Biz1logo.jsp file and rename it to Biz1logo.old

Then try Publisher again.
