2002-10-22 07:32:00 | HELP...not sure where this toolbar came from, it just appeared in my IE 6 window, I cant for the life of me remove it, tried under add/remove programs, it appears in the list, but nothing happens when I try to remove it, how can I either A. remove this annoying piece of spyware or B. completely DELETE Internet Explorer 6 and re-install it.....Im sure it's spyware as when IE starts now, it launches a pop up window leading to my-stats.com....what ever that is...?:| | yaya (2314) | |
2002-10-22 09:32:00 | The best bet would be BHOcop, a free download. It should remove that pesky thing. Its a bit of an act to get it though, look on Google for it, and take any links to the ziff-davis site (PC Magazine). They seem to be the only ones left with it, other links are dead (file no longer available) You need to sign up to get access to the site, but be adventurous (creative) with names and email addresses....

2002-10-22 09:42:00 | Would you like to tell us all out here what operating system you use? I use IE6 under WinXP. To delete the search button on the nomal type toolbar then right click anywhere on the toolbar and click customise. In the right hand window find the SERCH button and click remove. I don't think that is what you want though. What do you want? The search - explorer "Toolbar" is not on my computer in "Add remove programs"

2002-10-23 04:45:00 | Thanks, will take a look....to answer some of the other ?'s...yes I have tried everything I know to get rid of it.....it is an addon toolbar and the contact link on the toolbar takes you to, search-explorer.com, I have tried the uninstall intructions found there....it says there is an uninstall button available, but it is not :-(....... I am using IE 6 and Windows 98SE....every now and then it launches to the my-stats.com page while entering another page, so it is not a genuinely helpful program, just spyware I think it's called :-( | yaya (2314) | |
2002-10-23 04:53:00 | According to the site, you click on the logo on the left hand side of your toolbar, and a drop down menu should give the uninstall option - is that not the case? How Can I uninstall the Toolbar? To unistall our toolbar please click on the logo on the toolbar (left side) and a drop-down menu will appear. Just click uninstall.
