I am on a friends computer trying to do a disc disfragment. It tells me it is locked by a disc utility and asks me to block it. How do i do this? |

restart your computer, hold F5 while booting up, this will boot windows in safe-mode, it's ugly but you won't have any problems with disk utilities, and the job will be done quickly |

sorry bout the double post, i pressed stop then changed BIOS to DOS and pressed post message. |

Yes. Its the one run by windows 95b/98/ME when it isn't shut down correctly. |
