| 92340 | 2002-10-23 23:57:00 | Anyone have any suggestions on any good mp3 players around? im looking for one with atleast a 1gb hdd, and the ability to play wav and wma files as well as mp3s. The price range isnt really important; but under $1000 would be cool. must be usb (not 2.0) connection and must come with battery charger or whatever. thanks javoyle |

USB is good, 1.1 not 2.0 but I think USB2 is backwards compatible... Not tu sure, have to check that one out. Firewire cards are pretty cheap, add another $90 on top of the player if it is firewire. Just have a look around, for under $1K, you'll get almost anything! |

Uses USB 1 The good thing about it is that it is reasonably small and doesn't suffer from skipping. If you go for a nomad which is harddisk based, you are going to be subjected to skipping, its also larger than a MD. If you don't want MD, and you don't want skipping, go for a solid state MP3 player (that uses memmory for storage) though these are not as cost effective |
