92272 2002-10-23 21:27:00 I'm using Windows NT (SP6). On my desktop I have a shortcut to a URL, how do I get it to open as a maximised window (covering the whole screen)? jeep (1673)
92273 2002-10-23 21:40:00 If you right click the mouse on the shortcut and then bring up its property settings, there might be a shortcut tab (i'm using xp so not sure if its like this in 2000, but it should be similar). On this shortcut tab there should be a "run:" list box, and you can change this setting to full screen.:)

Hope this helps

It doesn't work like that on URLs on the desktop for some reason... at least not in XP - it might in NT I'm not sure.

92275 2002-10-23 21:49:00 Right click on shortcut comes up with two tabs - neither of which has controls for window size jeep (1673)
92276 2002-10-23 22:00:00 Sorry, I just tested it on my mail washer and it worked so thought it might do url's too. If you're to tired to maximise the window after initiating it, I'm sure there is a setting somewhere but I don't know where so good luck:) raddersnz (684)
92277 2002-10-23 22:16:00 OK why not just create a shortcut to the the browser and append the url pointer on the end.

e.g. "D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" http:\\xtra.co.nz\home

as this would be a 'regular' program shortcut you would then have all the other tabs and boxes to modify it the way you want. i.e. the RUN MAXIMISED value etc.

Cheers, Babe.
