| 92230 | 2002-10-23 20:53:00 | This is probably very basic but it's causing me a pain in the neck. If I cut and paste a large amount of print material into a new Word document which takes up say 3 pages of A4 , then after editing out redundant sections , reducing font size etc, the final document is reduced to one page . I then have 2 blank pages left as part of the document. Is it possible to edit out these blank pages from the document? I have tried customising the page set up to make it larger. and I have cut and pasted the edited document into a new Word Document but as soon as I paste it in to the single new page document it becomes 3 pages again [ two of which are blank]. The reason it is a pain is because I fax these documents overseas and the fax from the computer faxes the attachment [including the blank pages] . How can I delete these now redundant pages from a saved document? Thanks Willbry |

You will probabaly then find that the blank pages are full of 'end of paragraph marks (the reversed P), page breaks etc. Delete these - but leave the paragraph marker at the end of your text. Click on the show / hide formatting button again. | Wrecker Jim (771) | ||

In fact while you both gave me a different solution to the problem I applied each to a different document and they both work. Wonderful !! :) :) willbry |
