| 92182 | 2002-10-23 10:02:00 | Hellooo, Can someone do this little task for me? I have been downloading Red Hat 8.0 ISO's for last few weeks. Probably about 2.5Gb so far. Now when i try this ftp i get "Action Cancelled" message sayin it might not be available temporarily. I have a slight hunch that maybe my account is blocked from continuing to download this huge files by my ISP :( Can someone try this (ftp://ftp.isl.net.nz/pub/linux/dist/redhat/redhat-8.0/en/iso/i386/) link (Its disc 5 for RH8) and see if they can manage to start download. Or whether the websites are really down! I have tried few other mirror sites listed on Red Hat mirror site (www.redhat.com) particularly the planet mirror from Auss and the NZ one but get the same message. Thankxxx |

| 92184 | 2002-10-23 10:24:00 | Hi tweak'e, So what does that message mean? i understand alls ok, Were u able to dowload (start) the file??? I used those user logons and password before. It has been fine with last 4 files. I can still view the ISO images in the dir (so that means i can logon fine), But when i click the file, i get the error message I tried all the other mirror in Aust. Get the same error message. Are the sites really busy/down or am i just blocked? Cheers |

| 92186 | 2002-10-23 11:34:00 | Its working fine now tweake. Dont know but for last few days i have been trying , it wasnt downloading. I rang tech support for my ISP, he said theres no problem. As soon as i hung up and retried.....well it Worked!! As a matter of fact my 250 plan expired tonight! And i retried after the new one kicked in and it worked. Its puzzling cause now all the mirror sites seem to work. I couldnt even dowload a copy of Winzip from its website before ;\ . Somethign did seem fishy to me Anyways its all good now :) . By the way my ISP is Paradise. Cheers |
