| 92486 | 2002-10-25 21:48:00 | I seem to recall some years ago everybody was disparaging about the new "Membrane" key boards as opposed to the then current "Mechanical" keyboards ie( the key is part of a switch mechanism) . Of course now just about every keyboard is membrane based, as the older type are too expensive to make economically . Incidentally this is why the older type are heavier,they are also reputed to be superior for those who type, as opposed to my" hunt and peck" style . |
