| 92470 | 2002-10-25 00:10:00 | I also have a MS Natural Pro keyboard on one of my PC's, those USB ports are really handy (I plug my USB mouse in one, and use the other for my digicam). The only drawback is the $165 price tag (I brought mine wholesale for around $100 a few years back). Cheers Liam http://www.chatf1.net.nz ]:) |

| 92471 | 2002-10-25 03:09:00 | In 1984 a keyboard for an IBM 5150 (the original PC) cost about $US500 ... much the same as the optional floppy disk drive. Memory above the default 16kB was expensive. | Graham L (2) | ||

| 92477 | 2002-10-25 08:30:00 | It just comes down to style. Everybody have been manipulated. Althou some people say it comes down to brand .. yes thats the image companies have created to entice customers. a VW is image not that the car is much better than a Toyota its the image of exciting, young, gneration X, attraction. Why do pple go to Bali? Everywhere in business image is everything, quality of products is always a lesser priority. If u cannot attract customers, then how effective is the business?? I personally think nice KBs are the one in the $50 area. Cheap ones, I find are too clanky. They are not soft to type, some keys are too flimsy that sometimes u doh know if u actually pressed that key or double pressed, or the key wobbles around (it moves up, down, left, right) more than necessary. I do not like the more $$ ones, ie.. ones with large wrist rests, shortcut buttons (ie..internet), wireless KBs. Btwn, it takes up valuable unnecessary room. And again, I am tied to the image thing. Since I have a IBM laptop, I would like to get a IBM case and build it up. I have the no desktop at the mo'. I dont suppose people wear jeans and a shirt for marriage under a signed paper for 5mins then goto KFC?? |
