92433 2002-10-24 07:28:00 I don't wear earings. Won't go with my bald head and grey sideburns.

92434 2002-10-24 07:37:00 I find it's better with the cheaper keyboards in that they far more economical to replace if you cant get them to work again after cleaning them in the dishwasher!

Some of the more expensive" Big name"brands have more working parts so take longer to dry!(Don't ever leave them in on the dry cycle)

92435 2002-10-24 07:38:00 Yep ... you just can't beat the old IBM P/S2 keyboard :-) . I have an ancient one, and it's the best keyboard to type on I've ever had (and I've had a few). Very heavy, but it has a nice solid, feedback feel to it. Only thing lacking on it is the Windows keys. Rod J (451)
92436 2002-10-24 07:53:00 Hmm, very interesting responses . And yes, I suppose I did answer my own question . :-)

This computer has a "multimedia" keyboard with half a dozen buttons for things but I disabled the program long ago to make the PC run faster (I hoped) . Consequently I never use the fancy buttons either and won't miss them .

I'm gathering up bits for the new PC and being a fast touch typist I know how I want a keyboard to feel . I suppose I was just wanting confirmation that buying a cheaper version wasn't going to come back and bite me on the bum one day .

Frank: glad to hear the new printer is better . :-)

Geez vk, what has earrings got to do with the price of fish? Or should I say the price of keyboards? Are you just taking advantage of the fact that my posts get a lot of attention and that I don't mind a bit of off topic? :D

Well? Who wears earrings and who doesn't?? :D

Ducky: wouldn't you like to know . . . :p
