| 92689 | 2002-10-24 22:00:00 | IN kazaa lite images my son has a bmp image of pokemon which came with a virus called "1- worm/stator.A which avg picked up after the image downloaded and healed it. when the image is clicked on the whole of kazaalite freezes up and the computer has to be restarted to get out of it...in his user account the start menu he only has my documents ,my computer ,favorites computer on the left of the start menu there are no programs it's just blank also there is no sound with kazaa these 2 things only happened after he downloaded the image with the virus.. i have uninstalled kazaa from add remove programs but it;s still in my programs when i click delete now it says dcannot delete poko bmp cannot find specifiied file .. using win xp home edition... |

| 92693 | 2002-10-24 23:02:00 | It apears from what you say AVG has fixed your computer but cannot delete the original file. As I suggested before try deleting in safe mode, as I have found that files that can't be deleted will delete in safe mode. I would then go to the symantec site and do an online virus scan, and see what comes up. |

| 92696 | 2002-10-25 00:09:00 | I have come across this sort of thing a couple of times. Ok, you have tried Safe Mode and usually but not always it will work. In your case it appears not to have. Open Windows Explorer and try and drag the file to another folder and delete from there or try and drag directly to your Rubbish Bin. Option two is to try and rename the file to a different name and then try and delete it, this is another way of tackling it. |
