92666 2002-10-24 20:47:00 First of all, Kazaalite didn't download the picture with a virus, you did. Therefore you don't NEED to uninstall it, as the viruses will only come when you download them :)

Secondly, have you tried restarting your computer and then try to delete the folder from Program Files?

92667 2002-10-24 20:52:00 Do as Mike suggested and if that doesn't work give AdAware a run. Susan B (19)
92668 2002-10-24 20:52:00 Go into safe mode and delete it Shiloh (2288)
92669 2002-10-24 21:02:00 An Anti Virus software package should be able to quarintine the file and delete it for you.

Free Anti Virus software is at www.grisoft.com you might also want to look at a free firewall http://www.zonelabs.com .

92671 2002-10-24 21:13:00 If all else fails, reinstall kazaalite and see if it is in add\remove, then you can uninstall it . Deleting the program file will not remove it all. Shiloh (2288)
92672 2002-10-24 21:25:00 thanks ..tried restarting , running adaware ,avg, still no joy,,,,,,can move to my documents or shared documents but still won,t delete...have to uninstall kazaa as the picture that had the virus in it won't delete and every time its clicked on it freezes every thing else up.. johnboy (217)
92673 2002-10-24 21:32:00 OK well this is a different kettle of fish now. Sounds to me like the virus has caused some problems.

What says you start another thread with a heading like "Virus picture won't delete" or something like that and explain your problems in good detail. Include how you got the problem, what is happening, what you have tried and what you want to do and can't. Don't forget to list your OS.

That way you'll attract the attention of those who love a challenge with this sort of thing and will more likely get a better solution.

92674 2002-10-24 22:02:00 Try clicking on the picture and deleting from within the My Shared Files folder in the Kazaalite folder, rather than trying to delete the picture from within Kazaalite.

What is the virus?

Mike.
