| 93078 | 2002-10-25 23:38:00 | Hi all We are running jetstream starter Why do MSN and ICQ go offline sometimes even when we are chatting? What can we do to rectify this annoying problem? Most of the time we don't even know when the programs have dropped us. Is it a common accurance? |

ICQ can be tempremental. if i push my connection which is cable but same specs as you, ie:128k/sec up and down, then ICQ may not connect, however once it's on it tends to hang on against all odds .Clueless |

| 93080 | 2002-10-26 01:01:00 | we have 3 computers connected to a 4 port D link Router (adsl) two computers its happening on, (haven't tried the 3rd one)..... even if only one computer is connected at one time. one computer has been reformated and still happening....icq will show as offline.....but msn will show us as being online....frustrating to friends trying to contact. |

| 93081 | 2002-10-26 01:12:00 | ports blocked???? I think that xtra block one of the ports ICQ uses, so ICQ file transfers from xtra to anyone else never work. xtra have stated an official disapproval of any P2P application. Who is your ISP? |

Norton internet security on one and Mcafee internet security on the other. Not too sure about it happening on the 3rd pc as we don't use it for chat programs(it's a bit slow ) |
