2002-10-26 02:41:00 | Should not have run Bill down the other day !!!. My wife Lynne's pc fell over, Win95 installed and Office97. Word, Excel and Publisher not loading, but Settings, Control Panel and the Uninstall function will not take them out. Does anyone know of a better Uninstall Software, there are plenty on the net, but too large to drop down onto a floppy. Thanks for any help. Les 3

2002-10-26 03:00:00 | DO u want to install WORD, PUBLISHER and EXCEL again, or remove them for good. IF u still need those programs just Reinstall them over the corrupted files. If u don't need them, just delete them manulally. | vk_dre (195) | |
2002-10-26 03:11:00 | why not have a look at Tucows (search.tucows.com) for uninstalling tools, that are freeware and under 5MB. cheers, v.K----------------- :D

2002-10-26 03:30:00 | Assuming you have the Office 97 disk(s) handy try reinstalling. If that works you have Office97 working again and if you still want to uninstall it you should then be able to as the program should no longer be corrupted. | duckyduck (197) | |
2002-10-27 01:44:00 | vk_dre thanks for that, yes had tried to install the Office97 programs over the top of, but no go. Downloaded the next post's Tucows arp202.exe suggestion and Uninstalled the 3 programs, but will have to remove the short cut from Lynne's Start Menu file as the programs still come up from there. Notice the Office 97 CD will not Autoload now !!. Thanks again, Les 3.

If that >works you have Office97 working again and if you still want to uninstall >it you should then be able to as the program should no longer be >corrupted. See post above, used a trial version of arp2002.exe and that got rid of the three Programs, but the Office97 CD will not Autorun. Thanks again, Les 3 |
