93064 2002-10-25 21:32:00 I have set my old PC to output to the TV. I can only get 600 x 480 to work.
I would like to get a higher res.
Do TVs limit the resolution to 600 x 480?
Are there RGB to SVHS convertor boxes with higher res available?
My Graphics Card is Asus TNT with TV out/in via composite video or SVHS.

What experiences have people have with TV out?

93065 2002-10-25 21:40:00 It's the video card and it's driver .. and I used to have a TNT TV out and it only allows me to output either to TV or Monitor but not both at the same time...

At the moment I'm using GF2 to output to TV and it will output to both devices...

Regarding to resolution...i have to adjust to 800x600 to make a perfect fit... if I set to 1152x864 the TV will only showpart of the picture .. as long as the TV is showing 100% what yr monitor displays, then it's okay

Cheers

93068 2002-10-26 01:45:00 Basically a TV is not capable of displaying the resolution used by most computer monitors. The "dot pitch" is way to coarse on the CRT.
If it were, we would all be using TVs instead of monitors, they are cheaper.
