| 93448 | 2002-10-27 08:06:00 | help ive uninstalled word, works+money of my xp computer,i can reinstall all except my word, every time it gets to word it stops at error 1305 error reading from file d:msword\pfiles\msoffice\office\mso9.dll. verify that file exists and that you have access to it | spoton (2357) | ||
| 93449 | 2002-10-27 08:40:00 | Hi Spotty Why bother uninstalling if you are going to reinstall again anyway? If things are not quite right, reinstall over the top of the program and that should replace missing or corrupted files. That over, what are you restoring from; CDs or backup files on your computer? Try start/find/files or folders, enter the file <name.dll> and see if it exists somewhere else on your computer. If it does, copy it to the folder that the install program is looking at. | 93453 | 2002-10-27 20:06:00 | Clean the CD you are trying to install from. It sounds like its dirty (fingerprints?) and needs wiping with a soft cloth. | godfather (25) | ||

| 93457 | 2002-10-28 19:40:00 | Hi Spotty If you found it in Office, that is where it should be. If a search didn't find it you may have entered ms09.dll instead of mso9.dll. I'm a bit puzzled here because if you can find it in programmes/office/ then it has either already been installed on your computer or it wasn't uninstalled. Check the file size (should be around 5.5MB) and the file date. Mine is 21-03-99 for Office 2000. You could try renaming the file as mso9.dl_ then attempt the installation again in case it is being fooled by the presence of this file though I can't see how. Also do a Google search on the file name + Word and see if it crops up in the MS Knowledgbase or other resources. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
