| 93459 | 2002-10-29 01:27:00 | Spotty It's a bit of a wild card, but how about trying to use the repair function of your install disk. The rationale is that if you have a partial installation on your HD, Word might try to fix it. From memory "Repair" is one of the options that comes up on the first install menu. There should be about 100 files in the Office folder and about 15 sub-folders. If you have approximately that number of files & folders there the install is almost complete and might just repair. Otherwise, try deleting the Office folder (and all its sub-folders) completely and starting again. This will leave residual elements of your old Office install in place but hopefully that won't prevent a reinstall. I think Lhosing's suggestion is a bit drastic at this stage. I also think MS should help as this is nothing to do with the manufacturer of your computer or its warranty. It is an MS application issue. Have you done that search on Google yet or checked the MS Knowledge base? Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 93463 | 2002-10-29 03:56:00 | It depends on your reason for having a computer. If you want to use the machine, it's best to leave it alone. If you want it as a techno toy, play with it. But don't expect it to work. ;-) | Graham L (2) | ||
