| 93500 | 2002-10-27 09:42:00 | I hate my computer... sure, it lets me surf the net and play some cool games but endless amounts of tinkering have left the OS looking quite patched and not the most stable... System restore wouldn't work... and my problems arose when I thought about using nVidia drivers for my Asus ti4400 instead of the recommended Asus ones... I've heard about these cards not liking anything but Asus drivers, but oh no... in an effort to get higher and higher benchmarks, I installed those blasted nVidia drivers and now keep crashing unexpectedly... like completely rebooting... I've created a startup disc, and booted to dos to use my most famous dos command... "format c:" ... is there no God in this world? What did I deserve to have to spend my long weekend reinstalling my OS?? Well, karma aside, I'm doing it... I'm going back to 98SE... shelve that XP Pro for a while longer... Wish me luck... :_| Lo. |
