| 93980 | 2002-10-29 00:55:00 | Hi People, I have searched F1 on this subject and found others posted the same question: Search not working (July 15 2002) Search is Stuffed (January 28 2002) Search for files or folders (December 6 2001) Search for files or folders (April 5 2001) A common theme are that there maybe a possible link to IE6 upgrade and solutions revolve around either using 'restore points' to back track or reload ME over the top of the current setup. Guess my question is, are there any new ideas on this? Would be very interested on the forums feedback before heading down the 'restore / reload' path. Experience with either of these options has typically resulted in much 'throwing up of hands', swearing and eventually reloading everything from scratch, including operating system. Thanks for your input. |

| 93981 | 2002-10-29 01:15:00 | Ichthus, You could try using the TweakUI utility available from TweakUI_1.3.3 (www.microsoft.com) Download and install this utility. From Control Panel open TweakUI and select the Desktop tab. Scroll down and add a check in front of Search Results. Click Apply and OK. This has worked for some people using Windows ME If that doesn't work for you I may have a couple of other quick suggestions. Babe. |
