I'm not fussed on colour, and depending on the quality of pelts, I'll pay up to $20 each... :) my email address is in my profile... cheers |

DOC did used to do that, many of the hill folk from the old town were supplimently thier income with this. To the best of my knowledge they haven't done this for some time though At $1 a possum we'd have been able to afford new tyres and everything! |

| 94027 | 2002-10-29 03:36:00 | When one of the hillbillies had a possum skin blanket making thing going, some of the growers would come back into town with more weight in possums than the weight of the fertiliser they left with! So the bounty could work, i think only $1/possum was paid |

Cheers Liam |

| 94031 | 2002-10-29 03:51:00 | Isn't it about time we found a market to export them to, like they did with deer? How about we convince the Chinese that possum parts are an aphrodisiac? |

| 94032 | 2002-10-29 03:55:00 | Yea exporting the skins would be good, but someone would probably have to setup a sort 'possum exporting & marketing board' for it to take off. Cheers Liam |

| 94033 | 2002-10-29 04:00:00 | For a wee while someone pushed the idea of possums skin rugs and possum skin blanets... they were items that tourists were paying 4 figures for! Unfortunatly the industry moved at "coast pace" (sorry Veale, but thats just how it is) so it died in the real world.. Proves however that it can be done. .Clueless |
