94095 2002-10-29 04:48:00 Javascript will not employ itself. Read other posts. Followed advice, i.e checked all appropriate boxes in security under internet options. Any further help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

94097 2002-10-29 04:58:00 I just installed Java VM off latest PC World. Might be worth a try, depending on your Operating System.
Bye

94101 2002-10-29 08:16:00 Java and Javascript are two different beasts.

If you wan't Javascript enabled sites to display in your browser then go to Tools/Security/Custom Level/Scripting/Active Scripting < Enabled >

&

Same path but final option /Allow paste operations via script < Enabled >

By the way, you can enable certain Java functionality by altering a feature in the same area as well. You'll find it underneath the second feature noted above.

Good luck ......................................

94102 2002-10-29 10:43:00 Hi Wonda Ing,

I had a problem with javascript a few months ago whereby I couldn't log into my Bank's login page using IE6!

I was lucky that my other browser,Mozilla didn't share this problem!

Then when the update SP1for IE came out,I installed it and has overcome the problem?

Might be worth a try if all else fails(assuming of coarse that you don't already have that update?)

Cheers,Kiwitas,;-)

PS; OS W98.
